SFSU class of 2019
Armando graduated from San Francisco State in 2019 and carried that milestone into the next chapter of his coaching path.
Armando “Mando” Fonseca · Coach Nalgas
Armando is a Castro Valley fitness trainer and glute specialist who coaches working moms and busy adults one to one at Body Mechanix and online.

Who he trains
Armando says most of his clients are working moms: short on time, pulled in several directions, and still driven to reach another level. His answer is individualized work—not a canned class schedule—and a coach who stays involved in the decisions.
In-person sessions happen at Body Mechanix in Castro Valley. Online one-to-one coaching keeps the plan and accountability personal when sharing a room is not practical.

What drives the work
Armando describes his purpose as helping clients leave each training visit elevated physically and mentally. “Progress is the name of the game” is the standard; accountability, individualized programming, hard work, humor, and the occasional well-timed trash talk are how the room gets there.

Body Mechanix has been Armando’s Castro Valley training home since August 2019.
The specialty—and the “Coach Nalgas” nickname—sit inside broader one-to-one strength and conditioning.
